ASBISc Enterprises Ltd. (ASBIS), a leading supplier of computer components to the EMEA emerging markets, has signed a Direct OEM Agreement with Microsoft. The new agreement will license ASBIS to preinstall and distribute Microsoft software products on ASBIS’ personal computers.

According to the newly signed Agreement, ASBIS has been granted a license to preinstall Microsoft software on its own systems, provide its customers with a backup copy of the preinstalled software, and distribute the preinstalled software to its customers. This Agreement complements the existing relationship between Microsoft and ASBIS.

Laurent Journoud, ASBIS’ Executive VP Sales & Marketing, commented: “We are extremely pleased with our new status as a Microsoft Direct OEM partner. We are positive that this agreement will bring increased benefits to our customers. It means that when a customer purchases a custom-built computer from ASBIS, they can be comfortable that they will receive a legally distributed finished product and top level technical support.”

According to Mr. Abdallah Sagga, Microsoft Regional OEM Manager, Middle East & North Africa, “we are very happy that ASBIS and Microsoft have entered into a direct OEM license agreement and we are looking forward to a great business relationship. Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe are the regions where we see increasing demand for PCs, notebooks and servers, and this is a great opportunity for ASBIS."
