IBM named ASBIS Slovakia its Distributor of the Year at the annual partner meeting that took place on February 7th, 2006 in the Congress Hall of Carlton Hotel in Bratislava. The meeting dubbed Business Partner Kick-off 2006 was attended by more than 100 IBM Slovakia business partners.

Corsair Memory, a US-based company, has been a leader in the design and manufacture of high-speed modules since 1994. ASBIS is to start shipments of the world's first 2.5-inch disc drive built on perpendicular recording technology - a 160GB notebook hard drive Seagate Momentus 5400.3. This brand-new notebook drive further closes the capacity and performance gap between desktop and notebook PC hard drives as more users replace aging desktop systems with fast, high-capacity notebook computers. ASBIS offices throughout the EMEA region are expected to start offering this unique drive to local customers in January 2006.

ASBIS has received the award "NCP Most Supporting Customer" from HEXON Technology Pte during recent Computex computer fair in Taiwan. ASBIS Signs Direct OEM Agreement with Microsoft

ASBIS has signed a Direct OEM Agreement with Microsoft.The new agreement will license ASBIS to preinstall and distribute Microsoft software products on ASBIS’ personal computers. According to the newly signed Agreement, ASBIS has been granted a license to preinstall Microsoft software on its own systems, provide its customers with a backup copy of the preinstalled software, and distribute the preinstalled software to its customers. This Agreement complements the existing relationship between Microsoft and ASBIS.
