Promise Technology, Inc. today announced its new Ultra 320 SCSI to Serial ATA (SATA) RAID 6 storage systems for Small to Medium Business (SMB) deploying direct attached storage for various high capacity applications that require data redundancy.  Available immediately through the company’s global distribution network, the Promise VTrak™ M210p and M310p U320 SCSI to SATA RAID 6 2U 8 and 12 bay rackmount storage systems deliver resilient and advanced data protection features that proactively monitor drive status and dramatically reduce RAID rebuild time to help the users ensure uninterrupted data availability. 

As the capacity of storage arrays increases, the risk of encountering data loss due to multiple disk drive failures becomes critical.  The VTrak M210p and M310p RAID 6 systems can handle dual drive failure and provide greater data protection and dramatically reduces the risk of data loss during RAID rebuilds.

The VTrak M210p and M310p incorporate advanced data protection features like Predictive Data Migration™ (PDM), PerfectRAID™ and multiple assignments of RAID levels to selected Logical Units (LUN).  Dual channel 320MB/s Ultra SCSI host connectivity make the VTrak M310p and M210p an ideal solution for server clusters and direct attached storage.  These two models also offer advanced SATA features, including 3Gb/s speed, Native Command Queuing (NCQ) support, staggered spin-up, and drive hot swap support.    All VTrak M-Class units also feature Promise’s embedded management software, WebPAM PROe, which eliminates the need to install additional software on the network.
