LSI Logic will use its Fusion-MPT (Message Passing Technology) architecture as the basis for the evolution of Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) silicon. The architecture simplifies product design, being modular building block based, and therefore provides a proven pathway for product development to assure a first-to-market solution for LSI Logic and its hard disk drive partners.
